A small studio building editorial infrastructure.
CutAtlas makes tools for video post-production, built by people who spent years in post, for the people still there.
Tools for the work between the cut and the deliverable.
CutAtlas builds plugins for Adobe Premiere Pro that take over the repetitive, exacting parts of post-production, the work that is necessary, unforgiving, and a poor use of an editor's attention.
Two products are available today: CutBridge, which turns a locked edit into a complete turnover for color, online and sound; and CutMap, which keeps a long project legible while you build it. Each does one job, does it reliably, and stays out of the way otherwise.
CutBridge started in the suite. Its founder cut commercials and films for years and prepared the same turnovers by hand on every job; the plugin is the tool he wanted on the timeline, used on his own deliveries before it was offered to anyone else.
What guides the work.
Built to be exact
Editors notice sloppiness. Our tools aim to be precise and predictable, doing one job well rather than many jobs loosely.
No overclaiming
We say what each tool does and what it does not. Two tools are available today, two are in development, and the site says which is which.
Quiet by design
A good tool stays out of the way. CutAtlas software fits the pipelines you already use and asks for as little attention as it can.
