2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to personal data processed in connection with CutMap, the purchase of a CutMap license, license activation, use of the plugin, and related customer support. It also covers personal data processed through the cutatlas.io website in connection with CutMap.
3. What data we collect
Depending on how you interact with CutMap, we may process:
- your email address, and your name if you choose to provide it, for the purchase, for delivering and activating your license, and for support;
- license and activation data, for example your license key, activation status, and the number of seats or devices on which the license is used;
- payment-related data, handled by Paddle as merchant of record (see section 6); we do not receive or store full payment card details;
- support correspondence, the content of messages you send to us and our replies;
- limited technical and operational data, to run the plugin, validate your license, and diagnose problems, CutMap may process limited technical information such as the plugin version and basic environment details (for example your operating system and Adobe Premiere Pro version). CutMap does not collect the content of your video projects, sequences, or media files.
4. Purposes of processing
We process your personal data in order to:
- process your purchase and deliver and activate your CutMap license;
- provide customer support and respond to your enquiries;
- operate, secure, and maintain the plugin and the related services;
- meet accounting, tax, and other legal obligations;
- where necessary, establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. Legal basis
We process your personal data on the basis of:
- performance of a contract, to deliver, activate, and support the CutMap license you have purchased;
- compliance with legal obligations, for example accounting and tax requirements;
- our legitimate interests, for support, security, abuse prevention, and protecting or enforcing legal claims;
- your consent, where any optional communication (such as a newsletter) is offered and you choose to opt in.
6. Payment processing
Payments for CutMap are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as the merchant of record for the sale. Paddle collects and processes payment data and handles applicable taxes and VAT under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
7. Recipients and service providers
Your personal data may be processed by trusted service providers that support the operation of CutMap, including Paddle (payment processing and merchant-of-record services) and providers of hosting, backend, database, license-delivery, and email services. These providers act as processors on the basis of their applicable contractual and data processing terms, and only to the extent necessary to provide their services to us.
8. International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on a lawful transfer mechanism required under applicable data protection law, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another valid transfer safeguard made available by the relevant provider.
9. Retention period
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including for the duration of your CutMap license and related support, and for a longer period only where required by law (for example, accounting and tax records) or where necessary for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:
- request access to your personal data;
- request rectification of inaccurate or incomplete data;
- request erasure of your data;
- request restriction of processing;
- receive your data in a portable format, where applicable;
- object to processing based on legitimate interest;
- withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent;
- lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
If you are in Poland, the competent supervisory authority is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
11. Cookies and similar technologies
The cutatlas.io website may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for the operation, security, and proper functioning of the site. If optional analytics, performance, or marketing technologies are introduced, they will be used only in accordance with applicable law and, where required, on the basis of your consent.
12. Automated decision-making
We do not use your personal data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affects you.
